Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez close the Mediterranean season. Run by the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez, the regatta brings classic yachts — some more than a century old — maxi yachts and ultra-modern racing boats onto the same water in the Gulf, around 250 of them, in the fair-play spirit the organiser has kept since the first editions. For 2026 the organiser has announced the return of the J Class.
The 2026 dates
The organiser's published dates are 26 September to 4 October 2026. The event is based on the Quai Trullet in the Nouveau Port; racing takes place in the Gulf, with the fleet leaving and returning through the harbour mouth each racing day. Why it is the best week to be aboard
September into early October is the connoisseur's end of the season: warm water, golden afternoons and a settled calm, as our journal puts it. Add the sight of the fleet under sail, and a yacht becomes the best seat in town — either alongside in the port, in the middle of it, or at anchor off Pampelonne, minutes away, with the tender running in for the evenings.
