The Bravades are Saint-Tropez's own festival — the town honouring its patron saint, Saint Torpes, with three days of processions by the bravadeurs through the old town and along the quays of the Vieux Port, muskets, drums and the bust of the saint carried through the streets. It is the moment the town belongs most to the Tropéziens, and it happens before the summer crowds.
